The Metanoia Manifesto
The turn humanity has to make.
Ten things we must do, for the study of demons and for the people who have them.
We must make demonic phenomena the central philosophical and scientific question of our time.
We must deconstruct the false assumptions of materialism.
We must settle the relationship between demonic phenomena, mental illness and addiction.
We must collect the largest data set of this phenomenon ever attempted.
We must form an authoritative account of its behaviour, characteristics and life cycle.
We must build the Institute of Metanoics, to guard the work from the eschatology that motivates it.
We must build the College of Metanoics, where the work is taught and the standards are set.
We must open residential treatment facilities for the demonically afflicted.
We must train the churches to receive the waves of people awakening to the scale of this crisis.
We must bring this threat before the leaders of the world.
We mustundo the great trick.

And above all, we must act wisely
Metanoia means a turn. It is the turn an afflicted person makes when they are freed, and it is the turn we are asking of a civilisation: to leave one way of seeing the world for another. A turn that large has to be stewarded, and the people at the centre of it are the most vulnerable people there are.
So the core team will include, from the first day, a director of care: a voice of wisdom in everything we do, so that the ethics of this work are never an afterthought.
